Nokia 6500 classic review

Just made commercially available, the Nokia 6500 classic is a sight for the sore eyes of thousands of slim-phone lovers, who had been quivering with anticipation. The new addition to the Nokia Series 40 team had us equally impatient to see what it's capable of. The Nokia 6500 classic is slim, but not enough to slip our scrutiny. So, sit back as we put this thin gadget through its paces.

Key features

* Very sleek and slim
* 1 GB of internal memory
* Great 16M color QVGA display
* Snappy user interface
* 3G network support
* Rich preloaded content
* Bluetooth with A2DP support

Main disadvantages:

* No microSD card slot
* No FM radio
* No video calls, not even with the main camera
* Prone to fingerprints
* Mediocre camera
* Uncomfortable keypad

With the deservingly warm welcomed Nokia 6300, it seemed the legendary Nokia 6230 had finally found its rightful successor. As time passed however, the slim Finn was having harder and harder time standing its ground to a growing number of rivals. Now Nokia is throwing another super thin phone in the battle and it seems to be a worthy reinforcement. Armed with 1 GB of onboard memory and design that simply cannot go unnoticed, Nokia 6500 classic surely deserves attention. So, let us give it all of ours.
